The Quality Assurance and University Performance Division organizes a workshop entitled “The Role of Quality and Performance Assurance in Enhancing Academic Accreditation.”

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Nineveh Technical Institute of Management, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Ghanem Ayoub, and in cooperation with the University’s Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, and as part of the quality assurance activities for the 2025-2026 academic year, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the Institute, in collaboration with the Department of Financial and Banking Technologies, held a workshop entitled:

“The Role of Quality and Performance Assurance in Enhancing Academic Accreditation.”

Institutional accreditation is not merely a formal or administrative procedure. Rather, it is a comprehensive process aimed at improving performance, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring the achievement of the institution’s mission and strategic objectives according to approved quality standards.

From this perspective, this workshop highlights the basic concepts of quality and performance assurance and demonstrates their pivotal role in supporting and achieving institutional accreditation requirements. The workshop also seeks to provide participants with the knowledge and skills that enable them to understand quality methodologies and apply assessment, monitoring, and continuous improvement tools, which will positively impact the institution’s efficiency and effectiveness.

Purpose of the Workshop:

The workshop aims to raise awareness of the concepts of comprehensive quality and the foundations of performance assurance in higher education institutions, highlighting their pivotal role in achieving institutional and programmatic academic accreditation requirements. The workshop reviewed the basic concepts of quality and performance assurance, and the close relationship between implementing quality standards and achieving academic accreditation. It focused on the importance of self-assessment, continuous improvement, and measuring performance indicators as key tools for enhancing institutional quality.
