The Quality Assurance and University Performance Division organizes a seminar entitled “Applying ABET Standards in Academic Programs”

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Dean of the Nineveh Technical Management Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Ghanem Ayoub, and in cooperation with the University’s Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, and as part of the quality assurance activities for the 2025-2026 academic year, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the Institute, in cooperation with the Computer Systems Technologies Department, held a seminar entitled:

Applying ABET Standards in Academic Programs

Implementing ABET standards is not merely an academic requirement or an organizational procedure; it is a comprehensive development process aimed at enhancing program quality, improving learning outcomes, and ensuring that academic performance aligns with internationally recognized standards. This seminar, therefore, explores the fundamental concepts of ABET accreditation and clarifies its pivotal role in supporting academic programs and enabling them to effectively meet program accreditation requirements.

The seminar aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand quality methodologies and apply assessment, monitoring, and continuous improvement tools, thereby contributing to enhanced academic program performance and ensuring that learning outcomes meet ABET standards. The seminar also reviewed the core principles of ABET standards and their role in developing academic programs and improving the quality of learning outcomes
