Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Dean of the Institute of Technical Administration – Nineveh, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Muhammad Saleh, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the Institute organized an awareness workshop on the subject of (drug abuse study) in the presence of the Dean and a number of professors of the Institute

It is possible that drug abuse and addiction can cause a decrease in the performance of the addicted person at work and his absence from him and the loss of his job in the end and the use of drugs may lead to the so-called (dependency syndrome), a set of behavioral, cognitive and physiological phenomena that develop after use The workshop recommended the establishment of intensive awareness campaigns aimed at educating citizens and residents, especially young people, about the harms of drugs
