(Green Leadership and its Role in Sustainable Human Resource Management).

The seminar addressed the concept of green leadership and its role in sustainable human resource management within business organizations, as one of the modern trends in management thought, which seeks to align leadership practices with the dimensions of environmental and social sustainability. The seminar aimed to demonstrate how to employ the principles of green leadership in a way that enhances the sustainability of human capital and raises organizational capacity for innovation and development. The seminar highlighted the importance of shifting towards management practices that support the responsible use of resources within organizations. This is achieved by integrating environmental management techniques with sustainable human resource policies, aligning with global trends aimed at strengthening the social and environmental role of organizations. The seminar also emphasized the need to move from traditional leadership styles to participatory models that focus on empowering employees and amplifying their voices within the workplace.

Furthermore, the seminar underscored the pivotal role of green leadership in enhancing organizations’ ability to address contemporary challenges and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. This is accomplished through adopting practices that reduce waste, improve performance, and foster a culture of positive change and continuous improvement. The presentation included a discussion of the concept of sustainable human resource management, the factors influencing sustainability within organizations, and an overview of the objectives and dimensions of green leadership, along with best practices in this field.

Finally, a practical framework was presented to link green leadership with sustainable management methodologies. This framework aims to transform this integration into added value that enhances human resource sustainability and strengthens the organizational role in supporting the environment and society, thereby ensuring the long-term development of business organizations’ performance.

The seminar was presented by Dr. Mayada Mahdi Saleh.
